The purpose of the Working Group is to:

·    Educate civil society organizations and institutions on the effective use of social media

·    Train members to use different types of social media platforms

·    Support our work functions, especially networking, campaigning and advocacy, through the use of social media

·    Collectively use social media for positive change in Ghana

 

BloggingGhana (BloGh) is a membership-based organization of people who use various online social media platforms to cover a wide variety of issues about Ghana. The Social Media Working Group is part of the activities under our STAR-Ghana funded Ghana Decides - A BloGh Elections Project.

 

Working group meetings will be held monthly in Accra throughout 2012.  Additionally, we will take the show on the road to the other nine regions in Ghana.  A schedule for regional meetings will be announced in due course.

 

Please bring a fully charged laptop, or a mobile phone that can access the internet, for this hands-on meeting.

 

Participation is free.  Please note that we will not cover transportation or accommodation.
