Ghanaians should check names in voters' register-Ofosu Asamoah

Mr Ofosu Asamoah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Kade, on Wednesday urged the electorate to cross check their names in the voters register to ensure that they are not disenfranchised.

Speaking at Abaam, Minta, Tumfa and Akyem Takyimang at the start of his campaign tour of the constituency, the MP noted that the electorate could disenfranchise themselves if they failed to have their names in the voters register.

Mr Asamoah called for total unity within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and said it was essential for members, sympathizers and supporters to embark on a vigorous campaign to win over especially, floating voters to ensure victory in the December polls.
The MP wondered why the mad rush to create additional 45 constituencies only a few weeks to the election and suspected that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) hoped to win the election with the creation of new constituencies.

He gave the assurance that the proposed free Senior High School by the NPP flag bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuafo Addo, would become a reality if the party comes to power.

Mr Asamoah said the party's educational policy would be teacher centered by ensuring that teachers' working conditions were improved.

According to him, the NPP would provide the needed infrastructure to make teaching and learning easier.

Mr Asamoah cautioned party supporters against "skirt and blouse" voting and urged those with that ideas to abandon them since they would be doing the party a great disservice.
