Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, presidential candidate of the Progressive People's Party (PPP), has described his party as a credible alternative to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that should be given the chance to solve the numerous problems facing the country.
He therefore urged voters in the Upper West Region to change their way of voting by casting their ballots for the PPP in the December election.
Dr Nduom, who was addressing party supporters at the Wa lorry park on the first day of his tour of the Upper West Region, said governments were elected to give the people better lives but wondered whether that had been the situation in Ghana since 1992.
"Since 1992, you have voted for NDC and voted for NPP, what benefits have you got from your votes? You don't vote for nothing you vote to get something better - jobs, good health care, good and affordable education and good water."
He said people were now realizing that the PPP was the only party that could unite Ghanaians because it had disciplined supporters and shown that it had respect for Ghanaians.
"Nobody can stand anywhere and accuse any PPP member of insulting someone or preventing anybody from registering as a voter," he said. Dr Nduom said his party's message was that of hope which could bring positive development to Ghanaians.
