Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, a Deputy Minister for Information and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for the North Tongu constituency, has thanked the people of the Constituency for the peaceful and massive turn out during the just ended Biometric Voter Registration.
He said the peaceful nature in which they conducted themselves was worthy of commendation as there was not a single incident of violence or confusion. "A peaceful constituency which also promotes unity would always attract faster and better development," he said in a statement released in Accra on Monday.
Mr Okudzeto Ablakwa praised the NDC officials and party agents who related well and educated the electorate on the registration exercise and commended the Electoral Commission officials for carrying out a smooth exercise.
He assured the constituents that he would not disappoint them when he elected as the Member of Parliament in the coming election. He also called on them to preach and pray for peace and support the second term bid of President John Evans Atta Mills.
